What Drives Your Passion Into the New Year?

As we look forward to 2017 and set our goals for the future, it is important to realize that we aren't going to make huge changes overnight. In a technology savvy culture filled with instant messages and same-day Amazon deliveries, it is hard for us to grasp the concept of "patience". But has anything worth your while in life come to you easily without discomfort? Has anyone in the history of this world ever achieved success without effort? I never heard Michael Phelps, Olympic swimmer, say "Oh, it was easy, I figured how to swim fast while eating a bag of potato chips!" So we know it takes some effort to achieve our goals. But how much effort are we talking about?

I want you to consider a penny. One cent won't buy you anything, except maybe a pretend wish in a wishing well. However, did you know that if you have a penny and compound it every day, you would have over $10million dollars after only 30 days!? Small activities each day add up, and it doesn't take much effort. It just takes consistency.

There are 168 hours in a week. During that week you typically spend 40 hours working, 56 hours sleeping, 35 hours eating/showering/driving/etc., and then you have 37 hours left. Those 37 hours can be spent watching TV or achieving your goals. The choice is up to you. Even if you only spend 1 hour per day working towards your goals, you still have 30 hours left over! What could you use that time for?

The start of a new year is the perfect time to pause and consider how you’re going to use your time. Personally, I find it helpful to create goals within three major categories: WELLNESS, PURPOSE, and ABUNDANCE.

First, let's consider ABUNDANCE. I'm not talking just about money or financial goals. I'm using this word to describe abundance in your life in any area: an abundance of friends, love, success, fulfillment, curiosity, passion, excitement - whatever it might be. You are special, you are loved, and a life of abundance is waiting for you. Are you willing to accept this gift? Are you willing to make an effort towards it?

For me, I achieved a glimmer of this through Young Living's business opportunity. Through which I have found an abundance of:

- Friends I have grown to cherish

- Fulfillment from empowering families in their health choices

- Financial freedom

- Extra time with my family as a result of a stay-at-home career

Next, let's talk about WELLNESS goals. I find that my work as an entrepreneur with Young Living is like being a "problem solver". Give me a problem, I can find an oil for that! Young Living has over 600 natural health products including essential oils, high quality supplements, home care items, personal care items, weight loss tools, and more...Young Living can help you achieve your wellness goals whatever they might be.

Fortunately, the lifestyle Young Living teaches is not your typical "band aid approach". So when considering your wellness goals, you want to work with your Young Living sponsor or someone in your upline who can help you learn to support your healthy body systems. When your body has all the right tools, it can heal itself. Yes, your body can do that! God did not make you broken and I am a strong believer that with the right tools (including diet, exercise, nutrients, supplements), no matter what your circumstances are, there is hope that you can reclaim your health.

Finally, the third type of goal to consider is PURPOSE. God has you on this planet to serve a purpose. Have you invested in yourself to discover what that purpose is? Don't go out to live your boss' dream. God put a dream in your heart and it is time for you to meditate on it and find what your purpose is. Having a purpose is what drives most Young Living members to pursue the Young Living business opportunity. The extra stream of income and the free wellness products are a positive side effect of a Young Living business. However, unlike most other network marketing companies, Young Living offers the opportunity for you to improve lives, empower families, and bless others.

No matter what your goals are for 2017, I encourage you to pray about it, reach out to your Young Living upline, and research how Young Living can provide you with Wellness, Purpose, and Abundance in the New Year.
