COMMUNICATION SKILLS

People don't care how much  you know...  until they know how much you care.

Create Rapport:

 

1.  Identify with them:

  • "I can appreciate what you are saying"

  • "If I were in your shoes, I'd feel the same way"

  • "I understand exactly what you mean...  I've been in that position too."

 

2.  Agree with them

  • "Welcome to the club.  I've never thought of myself as a sales type, either!"

  • "I agree, on the surface, the prices do seem high"

  • "I totall agree - you should think this over.  It's a very important decision."

 

3.  Appologize when appropriate

  • "I can see I've caused you to misunderstand me.  Please forgive me.  What I meant to say was..."

  • "Young Living made a mistake, I apologize for that error."

 

4.  Get their permission to ask questions

  • "It would be helpful to me if I could understand your situation a little better.  May I ask you some questions?"

  • When they say no...  "May I ask why?"

  • "With your permission, I will explain how it works"

  • "May I make a suggestion?  Why don't I show you the compensation plan and then yo an informed decision...fair enough?"

 

5.  Thank them for their feedback

  • "I am really glad you brough that to my attention"

  • "You've made me a better distributor today.  I'm going to take immedicate action to make sure this doesn't happen again.  Thank you!"

1.  Scheduling a Consultation

What's your favorite essential oil so far?  I missed setting up a wellness consult with you.  Would you like to take advantage of that offer so we can sit down together and I can answer any questions you may have?  

 

If "No," then: We can answer them right now or we can schedule another time that's more convenient for you.  Would you like some more ideas on how to use your product?  Have you explored plusoils.com? 

 

2.  Check-up Call

How are you?  How is your family?  How is using your oils in your wellness routine going for you? [Share a good experience you've had or a promotion they may want to take advantage of].  One of the things I love about Young Living is they reward you for being a loyal customer!  Do you know about their Essential Rewards program where you can earn up to 20% in free products?  Another benefit is that you get discounted shipping and the products you need to continue to improve your health monthly.  You can also modify it to meet your needs. 

 

3.  Invite to a Gathering

4.  Care Call

Hi, this is [name]! I am part of your essential oil education support time and I'm check in to see what questions you have about your essential oils and Young Living products.  Do you have any questions about the products you have been purchasing from Young Living?  How can I best assist you today?

 

5.  Invite to Share
